Jasmine Castañeda Soto was born in San Francisco, California, and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico where she grew up with a drive and passion for the arts. In 2017, she completed her BA in Communications at San Juan’s Universidad del Sagrado corazón, with a major in Digital Film Production and a minor in Graphic Design. After directing her first documentary short film in New Orleans, she started to develop an interest in directing her own projects. This led her to co-write and direct her second short film titled Aguacate, which was presented and recognized in various film festivals across the U.S. and Latin America.
Jasmine currently works as a Freelance Graphic Designer and Videographer, creating digital content for esteemed clients like Teatro Breve, True Self Foundation, and collaborating in creative projects like La Oficina de Hoy, among others.
